Terms & Conditions (Participant Agreement)
By accepting participation in the Cleveland Neurodesign Entrepreneurs Workshop (“Program”), each participant (“Participant”) agrees to the following:
1. Participation & Conduct
Participants are expected to conduct themselves professionally and respectfully at all times. The organizers reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to remove any Participant whose behavior is disruptive, unsafe, unethical, or inconsistent with the Program’s standards.
Removal may occur without warning.
2. Dismissal & Financial Responsibility
If a Participant is dismissed or voluntarily withdraws from the Program for any reason:

All Program fees (if applicable) are non-refundable

The Participant assumes full responsibility for all costs incurred, including but not limited to travel, lodging, meals, and related expenses

The organizers and affiliated entities bear no financial responsibility for early departure or changes in plans
3. Assumption of Risk
Participation in the Program involves travel, group activities, and interactions with third parties. Participants voluntarily assume all risks, including but not limited to personal injury, illness, property loss, or delays.
4. Release & Waiver of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Participants release and hold harmless:

The Program organizers (in both individual and professional capacities)

Any affiliated companies, institutions, sponsors, and partners
-
Host organizations and venues
-
Faculty, speakers, mentors, and volunteers

Other Participants
from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising from or related to participation in the Program.
5. Indemnification
Participants agree to indemnify and defend all parties listed above against any claims, damages, liabilities, or costs (including legal fees) arising from:

Their actions, misconduct, or negligence

Violation of these Terms
-
Infringement of intellectual property or other rights
6. No Warranties or Guarantees
The Program is provided “as is.” No guarantees are made regarding:

Outcomes, business success, funding, or employment
-
Accuracy or completeness of content provided by organizers, faculty, or speakers
7. Intellectual Property & Confidentiality
Participants are responsible for protecting their own intellectual property.
The Program does not guarantee confidentiality of discussions, ideas, or materials shared unless explicitly agreed in writing.
8. Media & Likeness
Participants grant permission for the use of their name, image, and likeness in Program-related materials, including promotional content, unless explicitly declined in writing prior to the Program.
9. Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to conflict of law principles.
